By signing up for an Annual Membership to The Queer Society Incorporated (referred to as The Queer Society, or TQS), you agree to the following terms.
- You have truthfully specified your age at signup, and have chosen the appropriate membership tier for your age(Adult if you are 18 or more years old, “Under 18” if you are 17 or younger)
- If you turn 18 while you are a member, you may request to have your membership transferred to the “Adult” tier
- Your data will be used in accordance with our Data Management policy, and only collected where it is legally required or necessary for service delivery
- You consent to receiving email notices for required for membership, such as notices of Annual General Meetings. To opt out, you must request cancellation of your membership by contacting us.
- You may optionally consent to receiving our email newsletter (sent approx. once a month) or SMS communications from us. You may unsubscribe at any time.
- Access to the TQS Discord server is at the sole discretion of The Queer Society, and may be revoked for any reason.
Exercise internet safety when making posts, and do not share anything you would not feel comfortable being seen by the news, future employers, or your parents.
The following behaviours are not permitted in the TQS Discord server, The Queer Society social media pages, or through participation in our events, and may be grounds for termination of your membership and benefits if we believe they are done intentionally.
- Discriminatory or hateful behaviour, including hate speech, slurs, bullying, harassment, and personal attacks.
- Sharing another person’s personal information without their consent, including photos
- Spam or unauthorised self promotion
